1969 to 1970 Attending physician at the Pathological Institute at University of Freiburg i.Br.

1971 to 1978 Attending- and senior physician at the University-ENT-Clinic Freiburg i.Br.  Training to be a physician for ENT-illnesses and plastic surgery.

1978 Post doctoral graduation at the Medical Faculty Freiburg i.Br.

Since 1978 Registered physician for ear-nose-throat-illnesses and plastic surgery in Konstanz.

1978 to 2003 Head of the ENT-division of Vincentius-Hospital in Konstanz and Klinikum Konstanz.

1996 First operation following the “Dr. Merck Stitch Method”.

1999 to 2000 Publicity of the new operating method at congresses and in the media (several operations on nearly all major German television channels).

1996 to today, over 6000 successful operations following the “Dr. Merck Stitch Method”.

2000 Opening of own clinic in Konstanz.

2005 Opening of ECS Ear Correction System GmbH in Germany.

2005 Opening of the ECS Academy and Clinic in Majorca.

2009 Head surgeon of CMO Tenerife.

Member of the German Academy for Cosmetic Surgery e.V. Cologne.
